Cooperative

Le Flâneur is a youth hostel and the first of its kind to operate under shared management. Since 2015, the cooperative has been running operations and making decisions. Le Flâneur belongs to its employees, without interference from outside agents who only care about one thing: pleasing their shareholders. Here, the shareholders are us!

Solidary

Since its inception, Le Flâneur has made it a point of honor to offer prices accessible to everyone. Whether it's for coffee or a night's stay, we maintain the same prices all year round. In 8 years, accommodation prices have increased twice in recent years to keep up with inflation and the rising cost of living.

Le Flâneur is also a partner of the L'Ouvre Porte association through their "Nuits Suspendues" (Suspended Nights) program, as well as with La Cloche, which fights against isolation and poverty!

Evolutionary

Le Flâneur is not a hostel frozen in time.

Initially built with odds and ends, the team has gradually made the place their own, turning it into a friendly, diverse living space where neighbors, passing travelers, and students come to have a coffee. The walls are constantly moving, new ideas are tested on the spot, and there is no room for stagnation. We take the pulse of Le Flâneur every day to concoct a place that evolves with life.
